Award Profile
The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant award offers you the opportunity to get to know a small, mountainous country nestled in the middle of the Pyrenees and the chance to teach English, to showcase your country and your culture, and to share with other high school teachers the education of teenagers in a multilingual (Catalan - Spanish - French) school system.
Grant Length
Grant Period
Grant will begin on September 1st 2026 and finish on May 31st 2027.
Grant Length: 9 months.
The grant period starts with a two-day orientation session organized by Fulbright Post in Andorra.
The Spanish Fulbright Commission usually organises an orientation session in early September and a mid-year seminar in early February. ETAs from Andorra are invited to participate.

It is recommended that candidates have at least 2 years of university level study in one of these three languages: Catalan, Spanish or French. Teaching experience would be appreciated.
Ideal candidates should feel comfortable in front of a classroom, enjoy teaching teenagers, and participating in outdoor activities with the school community.
Applicants should provide a detailed description of their academic education, work experience and professional interests. They should also include their motivation for wanting to come to Andorra.
What is life like for Fulbrighters in the host country?
Applicants are expected to research their host country. Application materials should indicate a clear commitment to the host country community and a description of how you will engage with it.
Andorra is a small place. People know each other and it is easy to meet someone you know in the street and say "hello!," although there are people who think that it is not so easy to integrate.
It is easy to get from one place to another on foot or by public transport because everything is close by. The climate, although sometimes cold in winter, is mild in autumn and spring, so you can always go for a walk.
Daily life is not difficult, as services are accessible and open long hours. It is easy to eat in a restaurant, find a doctor, or buy any product. The cost of living is a little high and it is not easy to find a place to live, but the Fulbright Post in Andorra can offer some advice to help.
ETAs have free time after class and can spend it going to the mountains, playing sports in one of the many sports facilities in Andorra, participating in the activities of a cultural association, visiting museums, walking or shopping in the city centre, learning other languages .... whatever they prefer.
